The Fiber Stretch Sensor is a synthetic fabric sensor capable of detecting the movement of textile fibers. Composed of several layers of conductive and insulating materials, the sensor is particularly sensitive to torsion.
Its main application is in the field of human computer interaction to make fabrics and clothes interactive. The sensor can be attached to the fabric by means of seams or pins.
The sensor was developed for the "Coro Eterno" project by Luca Pagan and Federico Garbin for the Giorgiandreazza collection for the Milan Fashion Week SS23 event.
